What people keep overlooking is that the safety factor based on the express absence of data is missing. Frankly, someone who decides to do this (where they're saving money I'm not sure) and put a .bin straight into their car without the support of objective data, deserves what they get after this post. It's the same reason that I put to rest with brutal honesty the myths regarding my car, SC's and tuning. The consumers on here have the potential to be the most educated out there. It's because there are SOME people here who take the time and spend money to better something already around. The downside is the participation of people who just talk about it. Whether they did it ten times ten years ago or last weekend. But they do nothing to provide data or growth.
Am I defensive of the work that we've done and the products we sell hell yeah. My name's on it. Am I defensive of anyone who tries to simplify what could go wrong with this scenario. Hell yeah. I'm trying too hard to make sure I/we don't do it at great expense to sit by and watch it potentially happen.
The solution to all of this. TEST TEST TEST. I require proof for myself and my customers and unfortunately it can only be done by those who do not those who want to do.
